Commentary
The description of Hanuman scaring birds and uprooting trees may seem destructive, but it establishes his absolute mastery over the natural world before he confronts the demonic forces of Lanka. Like a lion (kesarī), he does not act out of malice but out of the natural authority of his position — he is preparing himself for what lies ahead.
