Commentary

Rama is protector of all beings and guardian of dharma itself. The mention of brahmins and cows is significant — these represent spiritual authority and sustenance, and their protection is a king's sacred duty. The verse establishes Rama's role as the ideal king (rājarṣi — royal sage).
