तेषामायाचितं देव त्वत्प्रसादात्समृद्ध्यताम्। राममिन्दीवरश्यामं सर्वशत्रुनिबर्हणम्।।2.2.53।। पश्यामो यौवराज्यस्थं तव राजोत्तमात्मजम्।
teṣāmāyācitaṃ deva tvatprasādātsamṛddhyatām| rāmamindīvaraśyāmaṃ sarvaśatrunibarhaṇam paśyāmo yauvarājyasthaṃ tava rājottamātmajam|
O Lord let the peoples' prayer be fulfilled by your blessings. We would like to see your son Rama of the complexion of a bluelotus and destroyer of enemies as prince regent.

Commentary
Let the people's prayer be fulfilled, O Lord. The assembly addresses Dasharatha as a lord who has the power to grant the deepest wish of every heart. The verse is the crescendo of the plea — all arguments made, all virtues listed, only the king's action remains.
