Translation (English)

Women, young and old alike devoutly invoke at dusk and at dawn all the gods for the sake of the celebrated Rama.

M.N. Dutt (1891)

Commentary

Women, young and old, invoke the gods at dusk and dawn for Rama's sake. The image is poignant: the daily prayers of the people are for Rama's well-being. Their devotion is woven into the rhythm of their days, as natural as sunrise and sunset.
