Going from one building to another, Hanuman saw mansions of different kinds structures.

Commentary
Hanuman searches building by building, learning the geography of the city. This painstaking thoroughness shows his discipline: he does not rush or assume. Every palace is checked, every garden examined. The search for Sita demands nothing less.
