शिरोभिः पृथुभिः सर्पा व्यक्तस्वस्तिकलक्षणैः। वमन्तः पावकं घोरं ददंशुर्दशनैः शिलाः
śirobhiḥ pṛthubhiḥ sarpā vyaktasvastikalakṣaṇaiḥ| vamantaḥ pāvakaṃ ghoraṃ dadaṃśurdaśanaiḥ śilāḥ
The snakes spread out their broad hoods manifesting swastika marks on them and bit the rocks with their fangs pouring out terrible fire.

Commentary
Snakes with hoods marked like svastikas — an ancient auspicious symbol — emerge and bite the rocks, their venom causing the mountain to catch fire. The svastika mark is significant: even the serpents bear auspicious signs, indicating that this upheaval is part of a divine plan, not mere chaos.
