स चचालाचलश्चापि मुहूर्तं कपिपीडितः। तरूणां पुष्पिताग्राणां सर्वं पुष्पमशातयत्

sa cacālācalaścāpi muhūrtaṃ kapipīḍitaḥ| tarūṇāṃ puṣpitāgrāṇāṃ sarvaṃ puṣpamaśātayat

Translation (English)

Pressed firmly by Hanuman, the mountain was shaken for a moment which caused the flowers to drop down from the tree tops.

M.N. Dutt (1891)

Commentary

The mountain itself shakes under Hanuman's pressure, causing flowers to fall from the trees. This gentle image — flowers raining down — stands in beautiful contrast to the violence of the action. Nature responds to Hanuman's divine energy not with resistance but with offerings.
