Having spoken to Rama about the installation ceremony fixed for the next day, he (Dasaratha) permitted him to leave saying, 'You may go'. Rama paid obeisance to his father and returned to his abode.

Dasharatha dismisses Rama to prepare for the next day. The permission to leave is also a blessing — the last blessing Rama will receive from his father as a free prince. Tomorrow everything changes.
