विप्रोषितश्च भरतो यावदेव पुरादितः। तावदेवाभिषेकस्ते प्राप्तकालो मतो मम

Commentary
Dasharatha notes that Bharata is away from the city, making this the favourable time for installation. The mention of Bharata's absence is strategic — the king wants to avoid complications. The irony is that Bharata's absence is what makes the subsequent tragedy possible.
