The rajarsi, (Dasaratha), seated among the kings like Indra amidst maruts, beheld his son Rama sitting in a chariot and approaching him.

Commentary
Dasharatha, seated among the kings like Indra among the Maruts, beholds Rama approaching in the chariot. The simile connects earthly kingship to the divine court. Rama arrives as a prince; he will leave as a king-to-be.
