Translation (English)

Endowed with beauty and strengh, free from envy, and in virtues equal to Dasaratha, Rama was verily an incomparable son on earth.

M.N. Dutt (1891)

Commentary

Rama is described as equal to Dasharatha in virtues yet surpasses him in beauty and strength. He is also 'free from envy' — a subtle but profound quality. The one who has nothing to prove cannot be threatened, and Rama moves through the epic untouched by petty ambition.
