नानानगरवास्तव्यान्पृथग्जानपदानपि।।2.1.45।। समानिनाय मेदिन्याः प्रधानान्पृथिवीपतीन्।
nānānagaravāstavyānpṛthagjānapadānapi samānināya medinyāḥ pradhānānpṛthivīpatīn|
He summoned individually kings and all important citizens residing in various cities and villages of this earth.

Commentary
Dasharatha summons kings and citizens from across the land. The scale is impressive — not just nobles but ordinary citizens are invited. The coronation of Rama is to be a people's celebration, witnessed by all. The wider the assembly, the more devastating the reversal.
