यमशक्रसमो वीर्ये बृहस्पतिसमो मतौ।।2.1.38।। महीधरसमो धृत्यां मत्तश्च गुणवत्तरः।
yamaśakrasamo vīrye bṛhaspatisamo matau mahīdharasamo dhṛtyāṃ mattaśca guṇavattaraḥ|
'In prowess he is equal to Yama and Indra,in wisdom to Brihaspati and in firmness to a mountain and in virtues greater than me'.

Commentary
Rama is compared to Yama and Indra in prowess, to Brihaspati in wisdom, and to a mountain in firmness. The triplet of similes covers the complete ruler: strength to protect, wisdom to decide, and steadfastness to endure. Dasharatha's praise of his son sounds like a coronation speech already being composed.
