तमेवं व्रतसम्पन्नमप्रधृष्यपराक्रमम्।।2.1.33।। लोक पालोपमं नाथमकामयत मेदिनी।
tamevaṃ vratasampannamapradhṛṣyaparākramam loka pālopamaṃ nāthamakāmayata medinī|
The earth desired him as her lord, for he was bestowed with such avowed virtues and with indomitable prowess equal to all the guardians of the quarters.

Commentary
The earth herself desires Rama as her lord. The personification is deliberate — the earth (Bhūmi) is a living being who longs for a righteous king. Rama's rule is not merely political but cosmic; the very ground yearns for his reign.
