बंदउँ सेवक सुजन सुभाऊ। राम भगति जिन्ह कें मन दाऊ॥ धूरि धरेउ सबु संतत धरनी। जा गति ते नहिं आवइ करनी॥
bandauṃ sevaka sujana subhāū| rāma bhagati jinha keṃ mana dāū|| dhūri dhareu sabu santata dharani| jā gati te nahiṃ āvai karanī||
I bow to the humble nature of the devotees and virtuous ones, in whose minds the gift of devotion to Rama resides.
मैं सेवकों और सज्जनों के स्वभाव को नमस्कार करता हूँ, जिनके मन में राम भक्ति का दान है।
Commentary
Tulsidas honours the devotees themselves — those in whose hearts devotion to Rama lives. They bear the dust of the earth in humility, and their conduct never wavers. Devotion lives in humble, steady people.
