He has performed the duties of a king and protected his subjects. knowledgeable in the true nature of the Vedas he is accomplished in military science (he is a great archer).

Rama knows the true meaning of the Vedas and has performed all kingly duties. Knowledge and action are balanced in him. He is neither a renunciate who abandons the world nor a materialist who ignores the spirit.
