प्रवेश्य चैनं त्वरितं रामो वचनमब्रवीत्। यदागमनकृत्यं ते भूयस्तद्ब्रूह्यशेषतः
praveśya cainaṃ tvaritaṃ rāmo vacanamabravīt| yadāgamanakṛtyaṃ te bhūyastadbrūhyaśeṣataḥ
Rama got Sumantra admitted and said to him, What is the purpose of your coming back so quickly ? Tell me whatever is there without holding back.

Commentary
Rama asks Sumantra directly: why are you back so quickly? The question is natural, and the answer carries the weight of a father's love — Dasharatha simply wanted to see him one more time before the day that will change everything.
