praṇamantaṃ samutthāpya taṃ pariṣvajya bhūmipaḥ| pradiśya cāsmai ruciramāsanaṃ punarabravīt
As he (Rama) was bending (with reverence), Dasaratha lifted him up and embraced him. Thereafter, he offered him a splendid seat and said again:

Dasharatha lifts Rama up and embraces him, then offers him a splendid seat. The sequence of gestures is telling: raise, embrace, seat — the father's hands cannot stop touching his son. This is the last time Dasharatha will hold Rama before the exile.
