यच्चान्यत्किञ्चिदेष्टव्यं तत्सर्वमुपकल्प्यताम्।।2.3.12।। अन्तःपुरस्य द्वाराणि सर्वस्य नगरस्य च। चन्दनस्रग्भिरर्च्यन्तां धूपैश्च घ्राणहारिभिः
yaccānyatkiñcideṣṭavyaṃ tatsarvamupakalpyatām antaḥpurasya dvārāṇi sarvasya nagarasya ca| candanasragbhirarcyantāṃ dhūpaiśca ghrāṇahāribhiḥ
Even the smallest items required be arranged. Let the gates of the inner apartment and of the entire city be decorated with sandalpaste and garlands. Let fragrant incense be burnt for worship.

Commentary
The gates of the inner palace and the city are to be decorated. The invitation extends from the royal chambers to every corner of Ayodhya. The entire city becomes a sacred space, adorned for Rama's consecration.
