śuśrūṣante ca va śśiṣyāḥ kaccitkarmasu daṃśitāḥ iti naḥ puruṣavyāghra ssadā rāmo'bhibhāṣate|
Rama, a tiger among men, always enquires whether our disciples discharge their duties.
— M.N. Dutt (1891)
Commentary
Rama asks after the disciples of his subjects, extending his care to the next generation. His concern is not only for the present but for the future — for the children who will inherit the kingdom he will build.
